West Java (The Indonesian News) – President Prabowo Subianto attended the National Consolidation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program, initiated by the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), at the SICC in Bogor, West Java, on Wednesday (June 3). The event carried the theme “500 Billion Meals Challenge: Building Indonesia’s Future Generations Through Nutrition – An Inspiring Session.”
In his address, Prabowo emphasized that the MBG program is a great mandate that must be carried out with full responsibility. He stressed that all implementers play an important role in ensuring the program’s benefits are optimally felt by the community.
“Feeding people is a noble task for us, and this must succeed. It will succeed. You are an important part of it. But if you are unwilling to work well, you must step aside. If you do not work properly, if you are unwilling, please step aside. What matters is that the people’s interest is above all other interests,” Prabowo asserted.
The President also expressed appreciation to all MBG officers and partners who have dedicated themselves to running the program, including those serving in remote areas with challenging geographic conditions.
“Thank you, brothers and sisters, for coming here. Thank you once again for your service in faraway places, in difficult locations. Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for your loyalty,” Prabowo said, greeted by thunderous applause from the participants.
For Prabowo, the success of the MBG program is determined not only by sound policy but also by the dedication and integrity of those implementing it on the ground. For that reason, he invited all ranks to continue working with a spirit of service, maintaining service quality, and placing the people’s interest as the top priority.
The national consolidation event was attended by 12,173 participants and 5,873 partners involved in the implementation of the MBG program across various regions in Indonesia.
The event also served as an opportunity to strengthen coordination between the National Nutrition Agency, partners, and all program implementers to expand service coverage and ensure the program runs effectively in supporting the realization of a healthy, strong, and superior Indonesian generation.
